Our unique and charming private estate features two watermills, a 16th-century mill tower and a 20-foot-high waterfall, situated in a lush river valley. Located in the northwest of the province of Granada, in the heart of the rural interior of Andalusia. Next to the river and the waterfall is the old water mill from 1894, here are the bar, the reception and our private accommodation.
There are also six independent accommodations on the property, all of them restored with attention to detail, love and care. Andalusian charm has been preserved throughout the building and each property has its own private outdoor space. At the front of the property is the kidney-shaped ecological pool with terrace and sun loungers. In the lower water mill you will find a library and a gym.
Within easy reach of Granada, Malaga, Seville and Cordoba, the rural location provides a haven for wildlife and an excellent setting for hiking or bird watching. Despite its tranquility and isolation, it is the perfect vacation spot as it is well connected to the most popular cities in Andalusia and to the popular towns of Iznajar, Algarinejo and Zagra.
The ground floor of the Casa del Molino houses restored mill machinery and has a private bar for our guests. Outside the Casa del Molino there is a large paved patio and to one side is the original mill arch containing the restored mill wheel. This patio is shaded by two mature vines and here you will find a terrace with a built-in barbecue.

The Cortijo (the house of the original owner of the mill), is located in front of the mill house and has 4 bedrooms, with capacity for 8 people.
La Palomera is a completely ground floor house with 2 bedrooms for 4 people and is adapted for the use of people with disabilities.
La Panadería is a spacious apartment with elevated views of the waterfall. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and can accommodate 4 people.
El Granero is a comfortable apartment with a covered and shaded terrace, ideal for midsummer. It has 2 bedrooms and capacity for 4 people.
The Kitchen has 1 bedroom and 2 sleeping places. It is distributed over 2 floors, with the lounge/kitchen/dining room on the first floor.
La Casita is a spacious studio with separate bathroom and kitchen, with capacity for 2 people.
Pool: 13m x 5m kidney-shaped pool with a water disinfection system with low chlorine and ultraviolet light, sun loungers and a pleasant shaded area.
Property: Surface of more than 12,000 square meters.
Next to the mill there is a 100 meter long piece of land on the river bank with hammocks in the shade of willows and fig trees, ideal for bird watching.
Much of the estate is holm oak forest and as such is a haven for wildlife and a variety of birds.
There is broadband Internet and WIFI in all houses.
The water comes from our own well and there is purified drinking water in every house.
The mill can be reached by a newly paved road from the nearest town, Zagra, about 3 kilometers away. The mill is only 30 minutes from the nearest big city, Loja, and from the A92 motorway. In Loja you will find all the shops and services you need.
Local amenities: Zagra has bars and restaurants, an excellent small supermarket, banks with ATMs. There are also daily medical services, a dentist and various shops. In summer the large public pool and restaurant are open and a popular meeting point for locals.
