With the baroque, new ways of seeing religion would emerge, with greater theatricality and movement. It is at this time when the processions and the liturgical around the way of the cross begin. In Algarinejo different altars were installed in the streets, in the traditional route of the procession, from the Church to the Holy Christ. Of them, only a few scattered specimens remain. One of the oldest: two on Calle de las Flores and one on C/Mesón, from the old Way of the Cross.
